Welcome to the Ynysowen Male Choir Website

The choir was formed from members of the coal tip removal committee who were disbanding and were looking for another project to occupy the time taken during that period. They decided to form a choir, who would perform for charity, to give thanks to everybody who had contributed to the disaster fund that had been set up during the time of the Aberfan tragedy

The Choir at present has about 40 members and still travel to all parts of the country, and abroad, giving concerts to any charitable cause

News
We were very honoured to perform on Tuesday 21st March at the Houses of Parliament, London at the speakers house, in front our our local MP, the speaker of the house and many other MP's and Guests from Wales and other counties. It was an amazing experiance which will live long in the memory of the choir. But within twenty four hours as many people are aware of, there was an attack on  the Houses of Parliment and our deepest condolences and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved.
